With this series of screen paintings, I was starting to focus and furthering on two concepts: using the screen as a type of brush and the use color. The screen (which is generally used to make editions) was used as a mark making tool opposing the traditional brush. Although, remnants of the brush are also present as accents, this series captures that transition out. The choice of the raw, unprimed canvas and the disruptions within the stretched picture plane elude to the type of queering that I exist within painting history.
